I met Sam through the remodeling of my Bathroom. My home is old – in the bath all surfaces slanted or were warped and the plumbing/electrical out of code. Sam did all the tile work for the job. From the beginning he was careful in measuring and helping me decide what was needed. He recommended two retail establishments where I could choose the tile I wanted to use. Once I had done so he helped me choose the shelving, grout and fixtures for the shower, ordered everything needed and brought it to the house. Sam’s work is meticulous and the results beautiful. All shower walls, floor and ceiling are now “true” – perpendicular and/or parallel to each other where appropriate. Part of the ceiling was slanted; he insured that it was in balance to other services. It was painstaking work. The room is now beautiful! Sam was 1 out of 5 tradesman I had come to my home for an estimate for my kitchen tile work. He made a great first impression with his personable manner and professionalism. He was not the cheapest nor the most costly. He went out of his way checking on products local to him and reaching out with samples through phone conversation, photos & texting. He is a great communicator. Ultimately I chose a tile from a small dealer & we all worked closely together BUT most importantly he did beautiful work! I could not recommend him enough. FIVE STARS!! We cannot say enough great things about Sam Smith and the incredible work he did transforming our old shower into something truly spectacular. From the very first meeting, Sam stood out for his professionalism, patience, and attention to detail. Before a single tile was laid, he took the time to walk us through different tile options, showing us how each would look in the space and helping us visualize the finished product. He never rushed the process and made sure we felt confident and excited about every decision. Once the project began, Sam completely tore out our outdated shower and rebuilt it from the ground up. The craftsmanship is exceptional. He beautifully tiled both the floor and the walls with precision and care, creating a clean, seamless look that feels luxurious and custom. The installation of the glass doors was flawless and added the perfect finishing touch. The result is beyond anything we imagined. We now have a stunning rain shower system featuring a full shower tower with six body jets, two separate rain shower heads from above, and a separate handheld wand. It feels like stepping into a high-end spa every single day. The layout is thoughtful, the water pressure is perfect, and everything functions exactly as it should. What truly impressed us was Sam’s commitment to doing the job right. During the demolition of the old shower, he discovered that the previous installation had not been draining properly, causing a leak under the old tiles. Instead of simply covering it up, he thoroughly cleaned up the mess and corrected the drainage issue to ensure the new shower would function perfectly. That kind of integrity is hard to find. Throughout the entire project, communication was excellent. Sam kept us informed, showed up when he said he would, and completed the job on time. After everything was installed, he even came back a week later to check on the shower, making sure there were no problems and that everything was running properly. That follow-up visit meant a lot and speaks volumes about his pride in his work. Working with Sam was an amazing experience from start to finish. Sam is such a great guy and truly went above and beyond throughout the entire process for our kitchen floor and backsplash. sam is not a tiler - he is an artist. i thought he was expensive , but that is the difference between sam doing it or asking your uncle to bungle thru it for a 6-pak and a pizza. See more See less
